Pro-invest is pleased to have opened its 5th Holiday Inn Express hotel in the prime location of Melbourne Southbank on 23rd December 2019.
The opening event took place in the Great Room of the hotel and was officially opened with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by
Pro-invest Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Barrott and Clean Energy Finance Corporation’s Associate Director Michael Di Russo
at the VIP event on 6th February 2020.
With the involvement of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank is pushing sustainability boundaries
with the hotel being designed to achieve a 5-star NABERS Energy rating which can be certified once >12 months operational.
Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank strives to be at the forefront of sustainable hotel design and operations
The Southbank hotel features a 22-storey mixed-use development consisting of a 345-room hotel, 370m2 retail space,
4,500m2 of commercial space and car parking. The Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank is the first Holiday Inn Express hotel
to open in Melbourne, and fifth in Australia, joining properties in Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle and Sydney’s Macquarie Park.
Pro-invest is developing new Holiday Inn Express hotels in Sydney Airport and Queenstown (2020), Melbourne (Little Collins Street),
Sunshine Coast and Auckland (2021), Parramatta (2022) and a voco hotel in Auckland (2021). This will grow Proinvest’s hotel portfolio
to a total of 12 hotels and 2,864 rooms.
